Following the announcement of our staged funding approach, we want to outline how the fundraising will actually occur.
While securing support through the Active Investor Plus (AIP) immigration pathway would be a strong outcome, it is not something we can rely on. It may happen — or it may not. Responsible planning requires that we proceed regardless.
For that reason, our fundraising strategy is deliberately diversified and structured across multiple streams. We will be actively raising funds through:
Philanthropic Donations: Engaging aligned individuals and families who support community-owned assets, local resilience, and long-term stewardship.
Grant Funding: Applying to appropriate charitable trusts, community funds, and institutional grant-makers whose criteria align with our objectives.
Events and Community Engagement: Hosting events that both raise funds and strengthen local connection to the project.
Crowdfunding: Providing a mechanism for broad community participation so individuals can contribute at a level that is meaningful to them.
No single stream provides the magic bullet; together, they form a balanced and realistic pathway.
Volunteer-Led, Professionally Structured: We are grateful to the volunteers who have already stepped forward to assist across these workstreams. Fundraising at this scale requires coordination, research, communication, and follow-through. It is significant work, and we appreciate those willing to contribute their time and skills.
There is, however, always room for additional capability.
In particular, we are seeking a Volunteer Manager; someone who can help coordinate people, align skills to tasks, track deliverables, and ensure momentum is maintained without overloading individuals.
This is not a passive campaign. It is active, structured, and community-driven. We are moving forward on multiple fronts, carefully, methodically, and with determination.
