Our story
The Old Packhouse Market is where the Far North gathers to share food, music, stories, and connection, and a place visitors come to experience the spirit of our region. It’s where local growers, makers, and families meet, and where many small livelihoods have quietly taken root. Now, the future of this much-loved place is uncertain.
Without careful stewardship now, the Packhouse could cease to be a community place. The Far North Resilient Communities Charitable Trust is leading a community effort to secure the Packhouse for the long term; keeping it locally owned, cared for, and open to future generations.
